R & B line dance is a joyful way to get your body moving to great, infectious music - R & B, Blues, Soul, funky Disco, and new music that combines them all. Like more familiar Country /Western line dance, R & B line dances are complete, choreographed pieces, done in a group, without the need for a partner. They are easy to learn and don't require any dance training at all. Remember dancing with friends at parties? Remember those great moves the Motown groups did on stage?

We will start with very simple dances like the Electric Slide, and work our way up to more complex ones. Once you get the steps down, you can start "stylin'," adding "shine," your own variations. People have been doing synchronized, non-partnered dances in groups all over the world, throughout history, for good reason: It's so appealing to the body and the spirit.
