This Seattle native left her Ravenna neighborhood after earning a basketball scholarship to San Francisco State University, where she studied journalism and environmental issues.
She first discovered yoga as a collegiate athlete, while rehabbing a spinal injury and then as a training supplement, and was hooked when saw how it improved her health, transformed her body and brought calmness to her life.
She has been practicing several different styles of yoga for nearly six years and loves to teach active classes aimed at helping students integrate movement and breath to develop balance, strength, flexibility and clarity. She believes yoga is for everyone and should be made accessible to all, regardless of age, gender or physical ability.
