John started his dance carreer after high school with a local modern dance company in the suburbs of San Francisco, CA. He became a professional ballroom dance instructor for Fred Astaire and competed nationally for almost 3 years until her ventured on his own. As an independent dance instructor, John Delapena has instructed private and group lessons nationwide. His students range from young adults to amateur competitors in American Style Ballroom Dancing.
