After a lifetime of exploring eclectic dance genres, from jazz to ballet, and hip hop to African, Marilyn encountered Salsa dance in 1998 and fell in love. She has been exploring all varieties of Salsa dance since then, and teaching since 2001. She conducts her classes with a balance of a structure and humor, and encourages her students to stretch outside of their comfort zones to discover their full potential and find their own expression of the dance.
“First hand I have experienced partner dance as an incredible medium to build self-confidence, develop mutual trust and respect, and build community. My only hope is that my students will grow within themselves through this fun dance genre, and experience the same.” --Marilyn
