“The only actions that do not have an opposing reaction are those that are aimed at the good of all….Consider the totality of the whole” – Eckhart Tolle

Brooke Oberg, wife, mamma, teacher, Seattle Native.

What keeps inspiring Brooke to practice and teach Yoga and Pilates?

The power of change that both disciplines encourage, how well both disciplines compliment each other, and the community that you can build not only as a group but also a communion within.

Brooke is known for her clear instructions on technique and also her strong focus on the breath. As a Yoga and Pilates enthusiast, Brooke knows that there is always more to learn, and that life is constantly changing and, therefore, she strives to keep an open mind, and stay curious! Her teaching style hopes to inspire others to ask their own questions in hopes to help them connect their pieces better.

Within the discipline of Pilates Brooke’s experience is diverse! She, was originally certified through Power Pilates, NY in 2005. She is most grateful to her experience in a Pilates graduate program called, The Work, with first generational teacher Jay Grimes, for certified teachers, based out of Vintage Pilates in Los Angeles.

Within the discipline of Yoga, Brooke is most influenced from the Anusara style of teaching yoga. Anusara weaves a strong importance on body mechanics and proper alignment with heart felt themes to help one balance not only their body but also their heart with heir mind. She is especially grateful to Desiree Rumbaugh, who continues to inspire her.

In addition to teaching at Community Fitness, she teaches out of her home studio, Le Bureau.
