Courtney has always been an active person, she was a competitive cheerleader for 9 years and then cheered in college at the University of Washington on the co-ed squad for two years. After graduating, Courtney moved to Baltimore MD to teach middle school science. But after her first year of teaching, she noticed that her work-life balance wasn’t exactly healthy, self-care was taking a back seat to the responsibilities that came with teaching and getting her masters degree.

Going into her second year of teaching she knew something had to change so she started practicing yoga and fell in love. So much so that after only one month of taking classes she signed up to do teacher training and got her 200 hour Power Vinyasa Yoga Certification.

Courtney noticed a dramatic shift in her happiness and positivity after beginning yoga and carries these mindsets into each of her classes. She enjoys infusing upbeat playlists and challenging yet accessible peak postures into her sequences. She hopes to bring the joy and peacefulness that comes from yoga to everyone who takes her classes!
