For the month of February, we’ll be featuring the Lovebirds of Community Fitness … those couples whose benches are always parallel in BodyPump or who spend Saturday mornings sharing Cycling stats. Whether their go-to is cutthroat competition or friendly encouragement, they’ll tell you there’s something truly special about working out with the person you love.
Now introducing couple #7 … Sara & Pete!
How long have you been together?
Eight years. We started working out together a year ago. I (Sara) work out a lot and Pete realized that if he wanted to “spend time” together … he should probably join me.
What are your favorite Community Fitness classes?
BodyPump at 6am on Wednesdays. I’m always up and ready to go, and Pete groans every second of the way there … if he even talks at all.
What do you like about working out together?
Competition, something more to connect on, community, and fun.
How would you describe your in-class dynamic?
WE PICK ON EACH OTHER! Pete tells me I’m a show off …
What do you like to do together outside of class?
Explore Seattle-area restaurants, hang with friends, chill with the dog, travel the world.
