Mia Munroe

Mia, a native of Michigan, enjoyed a career in classical ballet with Indianapolis Ballet Theater, New Jersey Ballet, and Ballet Internationale. Her initial exposure to Gyrokinesis® was at White Cloud, the original New York studio that housed what is now known as the Gyrotonic®.

Like others who follow Juliu Horvath, the founder of Gyrokinesis®, she immediately felt the direct benefit in her dancing and overall quality of life. At the end of her career, she discovered her passion for teaching while running the Academy of Ballet Internationale, making her formal education in the Gyrotonic Expansion System® a natural progression.

Now a Gyrokinesis® Master Trainer, Mia continues to study closely with Juliu as the work keeps developing. She draws upon her own physical experiences to allow clients and teachers alike to feel the internal sensations of Gyrokinesis®.

A little known fact about Mia is that she was a professional ballerina for 15 years.
