THANKSGIVING CLASSES FOR FOOD LIFELINE

Last Thursday, CFitters came out en masse to raise nearly $4,000 for Food Lifeline and to make room for Thanksgiving dinner! All three of our studios offered a holiday schedule for $20 per class, donating 100% of the proceeds to Food Lifeline, a Seattle charitable organization which provides 82,000 meals daily to children, seniors and adults throughout Western Washington.

Instructors David Miller and Danielle Bregent teamed up to lead an intense session of Cycle Burn, an on-and-off the bike interval training class that combines cycle and strength conditioning to condition the heart, incinerate calories and chisel muscle. Hello pumpkin pie!

Tricia Murphy Madden and Mindy Pedersen pushed participants through Tabata, the hottest high-intensity interval training format of the year – bursts of breathlessness in a full-body variety of exercises left everyone wondering where the hour went and ready to face the feast!

Donna Hjelmstad coached members to stand strong and rep hard with great technique in BODYPUMP™, the world’s favorite choreographed barbell strength class. CFitters love to shake it, and over 70 heated up the Play Studio dancing it out in Zumba with Jen, who added a special holiday surprise song to the end of her workout. Missed it? You shouldn’t have!

The perfect preparation for potentially stressful family interactions is PranaBarre™, exclusively offered at Community Fitness. Chloe Dee helped members center their minds, find their zen in yoga postures, and get a great fully integrated mind-body strength workout at the Flow Studio.

This was not your ordinary Turkey Trot! Diverse, effective workout options were offered, and all instructors volunteered their time for this worthy cause.
