The concepts of yoga and mindfulness can have a positive and lasting effect for adults, but they’re also great ways to manage the stress and anxiety of growing up. As a yoga instructor and a full-time mom, Karen Bullard was inspired to bring these teachings to young people!
WHAT: This 10-week series introduces young people to the concepts of yoga and mindfulness. In Teen and Tween Yoga, students will learn how to relax their minds and strengthen their bodies, using relaxation and postural techniques to help them cope with the stress and anxiety of growing up.
WHO: Middle-to-high schoolers (roughly 12-16 y/o). If you have children 11 and younger interested in Yoga, check out our Kids’ Yoga class!

A native Seattleite, Karen Bullard (aka Karb) has worked in the high tech industry, as a bicycle tour guide and travel blogger. She has run marathons, climbed mountains, biked across the U.S. and traveled the world. Her current passions are her family and sharing the gift of yoga. Her many years in the high tech arena, as a world traveler and full time parent have led her to create this special series to introduce the concepts of yoga and mindfulness to tween-age children. Karb is a graduate of the year-long certificate program at Mindful Schools.
