“If I had to sum up my experience with the challenge in one word, it would be awareness. Working with my coaches, I gained awareness of what I was eating (some huge surprises in a seemingly “healthy” diet!) and how to improve my habits, was able to be aware of what my fitness goal was and how to mix and match classes to get there. I also gained awareness of my body in a way I hadn’t before. Although the challenge is over, I have maintained the awareness and the accountability of doing the right thing every day — awareness of my ability to become better and stronger in my amazing and roaring 40’s.”
Manal saw straightforward results from the Weight Loss Challenge (definition in her arms, more specifically), but some of the greatest benefits she saw had to do with her state of mind. “I felt so motivated…I didn’t think I would be able to take as many classes as I did,” she said. She even saw improved sleeping habits! Manal said she felt great support from everyone in the CFit community, from the coaches to the fun posts in the Weight Loss Challenge Facebook group. After the challenge ended, Manal decided to become a member at community fitness, and is now a regular in class. “Susan’s Bodypump classes are a must now,” she said.
