“Community Fitness is more than a Gym or workout facility, it’s a gathering place for friends, fellowship and a lot of laughs! I feel the staff and the instructors are all inspirational leaders in the industry. I began my membership with Community Fitness about 3 years ago, prior to the pandemic, because I found out my favorite dance instructor was there, Medora Cesarano. Honestly, the joy and ‘frolic’ that exists in just that one hour is THE MOST addictive and magical experience I’ve ever had the pleasure of stumbling into. She is a master of mixing her humor, inclusiveness and inviting personality together with her long amassed dance experience creating an exhilarating, high-energy, commune-style festival of friends, family and camaraderie. I can’t wait to get to every class, I don’t mind the drive, I wouldn’t miss it for the world!

Community Fitness also provides access to expertly filmed live classes AND an online fitness video library which gives the global community the ability to tune into the magic, no matter when or where!”

My husband and I took the 6:15pm Dance Fitness with Kat Dowrey class and I do not know if there are enough words in the dictionary to explain how amazing it was. You truly have something special at Community Fitness, and 100% believe y’all are doing it right! Last night my face hurt from smiling and laughing the entire time. This class was a breath of fresh air and I loved how everyone is so supportive of each other! I feel absolutely honored to have Community Fitness on our online platform and I would love to create an event with y’all because the rest of Seattle needs to know about this!”

“Community Fitness the best group fitness facility in town. It has superb teachers and an amazing amount of fitness format options. I love the Barre classes. I appreciate the attention to detail, focus on form, the corrections provided during class and the techniques given to maximize core strengthening. It looked easy at first, but once I was actually doing it, it turned out to be a “butt kicker” – literally and metaphorically! Barre makes me feel proud, seeing what my body is capable of.

I’m always telling people in Seattle to check out their in-person classes. And I have friends and family who live in other parts of the country that have virtual subscriptions, who tell me they have nothing like this in their own town. I love the fact that there are both in-person and online fitness options. It really makes it easy for me to remain fit even with my crazy work schedule.”

“Community Fitness has a large variety of total body fitness exercises, particularly focusing on core strength, which is really helping to keep running injuries away. I don’t have Internet access at our mountain cabin, so I figured I’d have to do without my regular online fitness sessions. But then I realized I could log into the website via my cell phone. Problem solved! Because the instructor’s verbal coaching is so thorough, I didn’t have to figure out how to do a move properly by looking at a tiny screen.

I’m a stronger runner and skier now. And I sleep better too! I have persuaded three of my running teammates (and one of their partners) to sign up for Ola’s Mat Pilates class. The partner is a former professional dancer and currently a physical therapist. Her comment to me was, “Ola really shows her knowledge of how each of the muscular systems work because she tailors the exercises to balance opposing groups.””

“The Cycle / Strength format is really unique and fun, with the perfect blend of cardio and strength training! I always get a great out-of-breath workout, while feeling stronger and more toned. The music is motivating, and the switching back and forth from cycling to weights is a nice workout change. I never get bored with the routines! The shorter intervals in Danielle Sharp’s class make it easier to push myself further.

I always leave feeling really good about myself and my body! Community Fitness is a wonderful place that promotes not only physical health but also body positivity. All of the teachers encourage checking in with your body, and congratulate you for setting aside the time to participate in class whether you’re physically in the studio or doing the online fitness classes.”

“I love Barre, Strength, HIIT and the Dance classes too! The teachers are motivational, inspirational and very experienced. Whichever workout I choose, I know my body and my mind will be nourished. Everyone is so welcoming here, from the staff to the other members. You come in solo and leave with friends. Definitely helpful when accountability is a factor. I’ve NEVER been more consistent with exercise since I joined. All the other gyms, I never went to and quit. LOL. The group classes and community has kept me consistent (about 10 years!)

Community Fitness is like a family, it’s the connections that keep me coming back. Aside from my body firming up, my mental health and discipline has improved. But the most memorable part of my experience at Community Fitness is the love and support I felt when I went back to Susan’s pump class after my son died. Working out at CFit, continues to help me feel more energized, happier and content. I’m always telling others how much I love it. I talk it up and my excitement and love for the classes usually gets them.”

I was hooked from the beginning. I love the Full Body Strength class because Susan makes it fun! It’s a great way to work every part of my body. Since Covid, I do the online fitness workouts from Monday and Wednesday’s classes the following days (Tues/Thurs) at 6am so I can get to work. I have way more muscle definition and I’ve become so strong! It’s really been a great compliment to my cardio workouts.

It’s all about who’s teaching the class for me. One of my favorite in-person moments at Community Fitness was when we surprised Susan with a flash mob for her 50th. I look forward to going and always feel so happy when I am there. It’s always great to work out with my friends and take the time to catch up after class. I always feel more energized. Right now, I am doing the on-demand workouts and I tell my friends it’s a great way to get an amazing workout from home while feeling like you’re there.

I’ve been taking Barre at Community Fitness for the past few years and really love Alexandra Sipe’s class. She’s an incredible instructor. Her class is super fun but not at the expense of working hard – I always feel it a couple of days later! Her references to literature, modern music and dance are funny and always make me laugh out loud!! How she manages to come up with them whilst teaching is beyond me. It’s definitely a testament to her strength (I can barely manage to stay upright). Whether you come in-person or do the virtual workouts at home – try out her class. You won’t be disappointed!

I tried Barre at another studio and it just wasn’t a good fit. I was hesitant to try Barre again, but the virtual Livestream and On Demand classes make it easy to sample formats – so I did and WOAH, what a great (and thorough) workout it was! I love how the work creeps up on you and then just keeps going. The movement seems simple at first but by the end of the set my muscles are exhausted. My inner teen ballet dancer also loves the incorporation of balletic movements in class. After class I’m always sore, but in a good way. I like to dabble and my schedule is constantly changing. Some weeks I like doing the On Demand virtual classes, but other weeks I prefer doing the live online classes because there’s an extra bit of accountability with a start and end time. It’s amazing how much Community Fitness offers online for free and for (what I consider) a low drop-in rate. ~ Chika Eustace

This testimonial is way overdue, but I just wanted to say that CF On Demand workouts ROCK! The virtual On Demand classes at Community Fitness have been a life saver for me! The variety of online strength training classes + the option for exercising any time = total awesomeness! All the instructors are great, but a special call out to Autumn Skeel, Jenny Heap and Danielle Sharp (who does a fabulous job of calling out specifics on weights, proper form and methods for modifying to make the workout easier or harder. I love it all.. Bootcamp, Tabata, Full Body Strength – keep up the FAB work!! And THANK YOU for making these workouts available at home!! I can’t remember the last time I used so many exclamation marks!!!

My first experience in a dance fitness class at CFit was fun and challenging. As a new client, I felt very welcome and immediately knew I was going to come back. I found myself motivated by all the participants, the fabulous instructors and the good energy they foster in class. The new songs and choreography keep me feeling inspired, energetic and sweaty! I love that get to set aside a hour out of my day… just for me, to workout and have fun. I can’t stress enough how talented and amazing the instructors are. Nathalye, Jennifer, Kat, Medora, Nanave, Daniel and Quande… Community Fitness has the very BEST in town. I would encourage anyone to try an in-person class, a special event or check out the on demand dance classes from home.

I have been dancing with many amazing instructors at Community Fitness for the past 9 years and absolutely love the positive vibe that happens with every instructor and the staff. I have met lifelong friends and know that when I attend a class at CFit I will be sweaty and happy. From beginner to advanced training, they have it all. I was especially impressed with the quick adjustment to the quarantine and found streaming classes within weeks so that I could keep moving. Thanks Community Fitness for being a GREAT part of the community!!

I’ve been a regular at Community Fitness since 2015, and cannot imagine a more fun and welcoming studio. From the very first time I visited, I felt the incredible vibe that comes from being connected to others, moving to music, and working it out. Each instructor is unique, but they all have that “It Factor” that makes you want to work out with them. They’re committed to your well-being, and empower every student in every class to dive into the movement with joy (and good form!) — whether it’s cardio-based, strength training, or yoga. I’ve also made incredible friends along the way, who support me, encourage me, and make me laugh. This is truly my fitness family. I’m bummed when I can’t make it to class — I’ve never had that feeling about any other gym or studio.
