Ben is a Yoga Instructor and Musician. His love of movement and sound is apparent throughout his grounded yet flowing classes. He aims to give a unique and thoughtful experience to each and every practitioner through the use of clear concise instruction and hands on assisting.
Ben has studied with and been inspired by Lisa Black, Baron Baptiste, Bryan Kest, Shiva Rea, as well as many others, and holds a 200-hour RYT (Registered Yoga Teacher) with Yoga Alliance. When not practicing and teaching yoga, Ben spends his time playing drums for the ’80’s cover band called The Underminers. He also spends his summertime teaching and practicing Stand Up Paddleboard Yoga in Shilsole Bay.
Ben believes that living mindfully can have a profound effect on our world, and that yoga is a wonderful practice that has the power to align us with our most natural selves. He believes yoga helps connect us with that sense of mindfulness, and that once one begins to see the interconnected nature of our shared experience of life on earth, being thoughtful becomes second nature. Though we may never live in a perfect world, we all have the power each day to choose how to interact with our environment and others to bring about positive change moment by moment.
