Scheduling & Account Access Tips
Editorial Note: We are frustrated too! Mindbody is the vendor we use to manage scheduling and account access functions. Over the past few months our members have encountered a growing number of problems with Mindbody on our website. These issues include getting error messages when trying to book a reservation (“the change you wanted was rejected”), not finding class reservations listed on the schedule tab in a member’s account, and not seeing accurate purchase date information. We seem to be in constant dialog with Mindbody to try to get them to fix these problems, but are struggling to get resolution. It is our opinion that Mindbody is intentionally degrading their plug-ins we use on our website in order to force our members onto their proprietary app or website - which…surprise, surprise…faces fewer issues and transfers revenue from our business to Mindbody. Switching to a new scheduling/account management vendor is a time-consuming, complicated, and costly endeavor, so we are doing are best to resolve these issues before we go down that road.
Successive Problem-solving Tips:
Try a different device. There seem to be issues affecting certain Apple iPhone models and tablets in particular. If you can, try logging on via a different device such as your computer.
Clear your browser cache/history. Recent software updates (especially by Apple) seem to have caused issues for certain members due to hidden changes in cookie/privacy settings. In most cases, you can type “delete browsing data” into your preferred browser search bar and you will be taken to the setting to clear out your search history.
Log into your account before trying to book a class reservation. We don’t know why, but for some members, logging in before trying to book a class reservation seems to help…particularly if you are using a mobile device. Once you login, we suggest returning to the initial browser you opened to review the schedule rather than opening a new browser or you may see ‘your cart is empty.’
Download the Mindbody app. Lastly, you can download the Mindbody app and create an account through the link below. The app should automatically link to your existing passes so that you can book classes, buy new passes, or manage your schedule. The same account will work both on the Mindbody app and the Mindbody marketplace website. And, yes, that’s exactly what Mindbody would like you to do so they can generate more revenue but we will continue to push for resolutions so you can continue to use our website without challenges.
