We are deeply saddened by the recent murders of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and Ahmaud Arbery, and want to join our voice with those speaking out against State-sanctioned violence against Black people. We support the protests in Seattle and across the country demanding an end to police brutality and the systemic racism that plagues our society.

Community Fitness intends to listen, learn and share. We believe now is the time for real connection and action. Below is a list of organizations we’ve learned about and donated to. Please donate if you feel moved by their message. Everything helps.

We also signed these petitions calling for structural changes to end institutionalized racism:

  • Stop the war on Black People: Colors of Change has developed a platform of structural demands that will, over time, reduce the overall impact of policing on Black lives in ways that are concrete and tangible.
  • M4BL – In addition to a petition calling on Congressional leadership to push back against the militarization in our communities, Movement for Black Lives has a comprehensive and visionary policy agenda for the Black liberation movement.
