With our online Barre classes, streaming a live virtual class or a pre-recorded on demand workout has never been easier. Use any smart device to log in and work out on your schedule. You don’t need a dance background or even need to be familiar with the Barre to join. Our instructors will guide you through each sequence and provide modifications and adjustments so that you can master each movement safely.
Our virtual classes allow you to experience the same incredible Barre workout at home as you do in the studio, thanks to our high-quality video and engaging instructors. We’ve designed our Barre classes to guide you through a series of low-impact, medium-high intensity movements that will strengthen and tone your body. You’ll utilize your bodyweight, tubes, bands, barre balls, glides and light dumbbells to minimize wear and tear on the body while maximizing gains. You’ll find videos with additional props, many of which you can substitute with basic items you already have at home. I tried Barre at another studio and it just wasn’t a good fit. I was hesitant to try Barre again, but the virtual Livestream and On Demand classes make it easy to sample formats – so I did and WOAH, what a great (and thorough) workout it was! I love how the work creeps up on you and then just keeps going. The movement seems simple at first but by the end of the set my muscles are exhausted. My inner teen ballet dancer also loves the incorporation of balletic movements in class. After class I’m always sore, but in a good way. I like to dabble and my schedule is constantly changing. Some weeks I like doing the On Demand virtual classes, but other weeks I prefer doing the live online classes because there’s an extra bit of accountability with a start and end time. It’s amazing how much Community Fitness offers online for free and for (what I consider) a low drop-in rate.

I’ve been taking Barre at Community Fitness for the past few years and really love Alexandra Sipe’s class. She’s an incredible instructor. Her class is super fun but not at the expense of working hard – I always feel it a couple of days later! Her references to literature, modern music and dance are funny and always make me laugh out loud!! How she manages to come up with them whilst teaching is beyond me. It’s definitely a testament to her strength (I can barely manage to stay upright). Whether you come in-person or do the virtual workouts at home – try out her class. You won’t be disappointed!
